On 27–28 September, the seventh Barometer International Bar Show took place at Parkovy Congress and Exhibition Center — the largest bar culture event in Ukraine, attended by more than 6,000 guests.
This year’s theme, UNSHAKEN, was interpreted across different event formats and dedicated to people and communities who go through personal and national upheavals yet continue to move the industry forward. Together with the leading participating bars, Barometer created a special UNSHAKEN MENU: 16 unique cocktails that together form one album about faith, resilience, and inspiration. The event spanned several
locations of the complex.
In the 2,000 sq.m
Big Exhibition Hall, an expo zone was set up featuring 16 bars from across the country and more than 100 alcohol brands. A dedicated tasting area operated here for guests, who could try new cocktails and share their impressions.
Among this year’s updates was the new direction Drink 0% by Barometer, based on matcha with non-alcoholic Tanqueray 0.0 gin, offering the largest non-alcoholic cocktail list with more than 25 options.
Within the tasting track THE TASTING COMPASS, three professional tasting halls operated at Barometer. In the
Small Exhibition Hall, two Professional Tasting Rooms were set up, where industry experts hosted lectures and tasting sessions. Here guests explored lines of refined spirits. In total, the event featured 78 lectures, workshops, and tastings.
On 27 September, the Main Stage — in the
Convention and Concert Hall — hosted the final of the first all-Ukrainian bartenders’ competition “Make it Jack” by Jack Daniel’s. Nine finalists competed for the title of the country’s strongest bartender. The winner in the Your Choice Cocktail category was Daria Khodakivska (Parovoz Speakeasy), and in the Home Drink category — Olga Konovalova.
The main focus this year was the educational program UNSHAKEN TALKS, aimed at developing Ukraine’s hospitality market, particularly the bar industry.
Right nearby, in the
conference rooms on the third floor, additional lecture halls were organized, where brand ambassadors and international speakers took the stage. One of the rooms was transformed into a Bar Academy with theatre-style seating.
For the first time, Barometer featured a separate lecture hall, THE ROOTS, created for a young audience of bartenders. All 12 lectures were dedicated to fundamental knowledge and practical skills needed to start a career. Each participant could receive an Unshaken Explorer certificate upon successful completion of the program.
