On March 26, UAnimals honored the laureates of the 2025 All-Ukrainian Animal Protection Award. The festive ceremony took place at the Congress and Exhibition Center Parkovy, in the shelter area on the basement level (–1 floor).
UAnimals recognized activists who have been consistently and systematically helping animals across Ukraine. The All-Ukrainian Animal Protection Award is an opportunity to honor and shine a spotlight on those who dedicate their time, love—and sometimes even risk their lives—to protect animals and our environment.
At the venue, the organizers built a stage with a large screen, set up partner exhibitions, and created a lounge area where guests could mingle, enjoy coffee, and share their impressions.
“This award isn’t about picking the very best. Think of it this way: when ten finalists take the stage, we’re really thanking thousands of people through them. It’s our way of saying ‘thank you’ and—hopefully—inspiring you a little. What you do is invaluable,” said UAnimals founder Oleksandr Todorchuk during the ceremony.
In addition to the main awards, selected by the jury from among the nominees, special recognition prizes from the UAnimals team were also presented. The event featured a performance by the Ukrainian singer known by the stage name Krut’.
2025 marked the third year of the All-Ukrainian Animal Protection Award. This year, the event’s general partner was the Angelina Usanova Foundation.

The goal of the award is to draw as much attention as possible to animal protection and to honor the work of all the animal defenders in Ukraine.
Since 2016,
UAnimals has advocated for humane treatment of animals and defended them against exploitation and cruelty. With the onset of the full-scale war, their efforts have focused on rescuing animals from combat zones.
