On February 23, Parkovy Congress and Exhibition Center hosted a private screening of the documentary How Are You There? — a project by the NGO Zemliachky that tells the story of the everyday reality of women on the front line.
The film follows five heroines:
These are honest conversations the country needs to hear — about women who serve alongside men, carry out the same combat missions, and face the same risks.
The event was opened by Oksana Hryhorieva, Advisor on Gender Issues to the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The screening was moderated by Zemliachky co-founders Kseniia Drahaniuk and Andrii Kolesnyk. After the film, the heroines joined a discussion about change, loss, and psychological resilience, moderated by Sevgil Musaieva, Editor-in-Chief of Ukrainska Pravda.
Given the subject of the event and for security reasons, our long-term partners at NGO Zemliachky were given a unique opportunity to hold the screening in the shelter on the -1 level of the complex. This is a rare format for Parkovy, created especially for partners with whom we share a common mission.
The space was arranged for a film screening: a stage with a screen, theater-style seating for guests, a photo zone, and a catering area — all designed to create an intimate and open conversation about the front line through women’s eyes. To help guests feel the atmosphere of the front, a dugout was recreated at the entrance, Parkovy Catering served field kitchen food, and guests held metal mugs identical to those used at military positions.
The film’s producer is Andrii Kolesnyk, the screenwriter and journalist is Kseniia Drahaniuk, and the cinematographer and editing director is Mariia Dar.
NGO Zemliachky is an organization that systematically supports women defenders and brings attention to stories that too often remain overlooked.
Parkovy is grateful for the trust and the opportunity to contribute to such an important initiative.
