UBN у Parkovy: “Війна & Енергетика. Як це впливає на бізнес”

On June 21, the best energy experts of the country, leaders, and officials gathered at the Parkovy Congress and Exhibition Center to discuss the energy situation in Ukraine. The central theme was the prospect of distribution of Ukraine's resources by consumers and enterprises in the coming years.

UBN Network is a community of various industry leaders, government officials, business owners and top management of domestic and international companies, doing business in Ukraine.

Speakers were:

  • Olexiy Ryabchin, Energy & Climate Professional;

  • Serhiy Smetanko, Director of the Department on Security and Defense, Ministry of Economy of Ukraine;

  • Liudmyla Yeropkina, HR Director of Ukrenergo;

  • Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, CEO of Ukrenergo;

  • Dmytro Sakharuk, Executive Director of DTEK

At the discussion panel of Ukraine Business News (UBN), the heads of energy companies assessed the current energy situation in Ukraine and identified the problems of restoring the system.

During the discussion, Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, together with Dmytro Sakharuk, Executive Director of DTEK Ukraine Energy Company and Oleksiy Ryabchin, raised a gloomy prospect of the energy situation in Ukraine and the dilemmas it faces. The power shortage was discussed in detail, as well as the shortage of air defense missiles, which Dmytro Sakharuk identified as the main reason for the deterioration of the energy situation in Ukraine. Speakers also discussed such important topics as private sector financing and military insurance.

At the discussion panel, ways to deal with the shortage were raised. Speakers shared their thoughts on decentralized electricity generation, restoration of destroyed objects, and imports from Europe. “That's what we are talking about. This is where we move to decentralization of the generation. And we must do this not after the victory, not after the war, but right now," – Volodymyr Kudrytskyi said.

At the end of the discussion, all the speakers agreed that it is impossible to predict the hours of electricity available during the winter, and everything depends on the attacks. However, everyone shared valuable knowledge and expressed their opinion on the situation improvement. After the discussion panel, guests and participants had the opportunity to relax, enjoy drinks, and network.

The Parkovy team is very grateful to the organizers for choosing a complex for such a significant event for society and the country. The topics discussed are extremely relevant for today, and we will look forward to new initiatives and meetings.

The event took place at the Park Hall Event Space.
