On September 26, Parkovy Convention and Exhibition Center hosted an event titled “War and Business: Protecting Our Skies and the Rule of Law,” organized by the Ukraine Business News Network (UBN). It brought together business leaders, diplomats, and government representatives for an open conversation about security, the rule of law, and investment during wartime.
The event took place in
Event Hall, a contemporary, elegant space on the complex’s third floor. The setup combined theater-style seating with a stage, plus a catering area on the venue’s private terrace. As always, UBN’s team set a professional tone, while participants engaged in lively networking, discussed key decisions, and gathered insights from defense-industry experts.
Key discussion themes included:
- Protecting Ukraine’s airspace and deploying anti-drone solutions through state–business cooperation;
- The rule of law as the foundation for safeguarding investments and fair competition;
- Macroeconomic signals and risks shaping investor decisions;
- The role of international partners in building defense capacity and recovery.
Speakers included:
- Andrew Pryma, founder of Ukraine Business News and UBN Network, who opened the meeting and emphasized the role of business in strengthening national resilience;
- Mark McNamee, co-founder of UBN Network, who presented an overview of global economic and security trends.
Joining the discussions were Roman Tkachenko (TENCORE), Roman Sulzhyk (ResistUA), Dmytro Vasyukov (Kvertus), Yevhen Terentiev (L7 Industry), Iryna Borovets (CFC Big Ideas), Oleksandr Tsyvinskyi (BEB), Viktor Pavlushchuk (NAZK), and Allan Pagh Kristensen (EUACI). The participants spoke about public–private partnerships for anti-drone technologies, investment protection, anti-corruption reforms, and international cooperation.
