Specialized Optical Exhibition “International Optics Industry 2026” — how it was at Parkovy

On February 25–27, Parkovy hosted two interconnected events for the professional optical community: the 51st specialized exhibition “International Optics Industry 2026” (MIO 2026) and the scientific-practical conference with international participation “See the World with Your Own Eyes.”

The event was organized by the NGO All-Ukrainian Association “Ukroptika”, and its format combined an industry exhibition with a dedicated educational program.

For three days, the exhibition took place in the Big Exhibition Hall on the first floor. The space was transformed into a full-scale expo area: branded stands of manufacturers and distributors were placed around the perimeter, equipment demonstration zones were arranged, and the central area was set up for consultations and networking. Thanks to the unique configuration of the 2,000 sq. m transformable venue, the organizers were able to comfortably combine several formats in one space.

At the same time, the professional program took place in the Small Exhibition Hall — the conference “See the World with Your Own Eyes” and the two-day master class “Current Issues in Modern Optometry.” The space included a registration and welcome coffee area, a networking zone, a stage for speakers, and theatre-style seating for the audience.

Participants discussed key topics, including:

• State market surveillance of medical devices;
• Changes to the licensing conditions for medical practice;
• The professional path of an optometrist in Ukraine;
• Transformation of medical business during the war;
• Binocular and stereoscopic vision;
• The use of iCare RETCAD artificial intelligence in retinal screening;
• And much more.

Visitors could move from the exhibition stands in the Large Hall to lectures and master classes in the Small Hall, and then return to negotiations and consultations within minutes.
