On November 29, SHDM.FORUM’25 took place at Parkovy — a scientific and practical forum for otolaryngologists and primary care physicians. This year’s topic, “Respiratory Tract Mycoses: Pathogenesis, Immune Response, and Clinical Challenges,” brought together leading experts to discuss current issues in diagnosis and treatment.
The event lasted more than 8 hours, starting with registration, welcome coffee, and interactive activities, and concluding with an evening program.
The forum agenda was structured into three thematic blocks:
Block I — Rational therapy of rhinosinusitis and allergic rhinitis
Block II — Pharynx and larynx: modern treatment approaches without antibiotics
Block III — Hearing and quality of life
Participants attended presentations on modern antiviral therapy options, antibiotic use in otolaryngology, and both Ukrainian and U.S. treatment standards. A special focus was placed on expert reviews of medical sketches — practical cases from real clinical practice. Each block concluded with a Q&A session, enabling open dialogue with the experts.
Among the speakers were V. Popovych, A. Volianskyi, S. Pukhlik, I. Holovach, V. Berezniuk, and other leading specialists in the field.
The forum was hosted in the Big Exhibition Hall, featuring a lecture stage for speakers, round tables for interactive sessions and case discussions, and exhibition stands where participants explored the latest industry developments. The day concluded with an evening program in an informal atmosphere.
