On 1 April, the Parkovy Congress and Exhibition Center hosted the conference “Ukraine’s Accession to the EU: The Choice is Made, It’s a Matter of Time.” The event marked the launch of the European Union and its Member States’ programme Ukraine2EU.
The programme is designed to support Ukraine in preparing for EU membership by providing strategic and expert assistance to Ukrainian public authorities responsible for designing and implementing the necessary reforms. The initiative was jointly presented by the EU, Denmark, Lithuania and Sweden.
The event took place in the Big Exhibition Hall. The organisers built a dedicated stage for the speakers, arranged theatre-style seating for guests, and created a separate networking area.
Among the speakers were representatives of EU institutions, partner governments and Ukraine, diplomatic missions, parliament and the expert community, including:
“Being part of the wider European family is not just a strategic objective. It is our worldview, our commitment to shared values and principles, and our only possible historic path. Ukraine and Europe have always stood together. Today, our task is to confirm this and to move through the integration track as quickly and successfully as possible,” said Denys Shmyhal.
We thank the organisers for choosing Parkovy as the venue for this important event.
