On April 19, 2026, Parkovy hosted the presentation of Collapse, the second book in Max Kidruk’s science fiction series The New Dark Ages. Kyiv became the starting point of a nationwide tour covering around 20 cities.
The organizers also announced another meeting at Parkovy, scheduled for May 9.
The evening was designed as a live conversation with readers about the new book, its scientific background, the writing process, and the future of the series. The presentation brought together 850 people, and during the event Max Kidruk announced the title of the third book in the cycle — And Then Darkness Fell.
For the presentation, the Convention and Concert Hall at Parkovy was used — a 750 sq. m venue and one of the key spaces of the complex, located on the third floor. The space was adapted for a large-scale literary event: theater-style seating was arranged, the wide stage was used, and two large screens displayed visual materials related to the novel throughout the evening, including characters, diagrams, and scientific slides.
The event used Parkovy’s screens and projection equipment, which made it possible to work with visual content at a high level:
After the main part of the evening, the event continued with an autograph session. In the pre-function area on the third floor, there was a registration desk and a sales area where guests could purchase books, a board game based on the series, and related merchandise.
We thank Max Kidruk and the organizing team for trusting our venue!
