On November 14, at CEC Parkovy, in Kyiv, the conference “Let’s Do It Humanely: Human-Centered Design for Innovations in Mental Health” was held. The event gathered 75 representatives from the mental health field to learn about human-centered design (HCD) and its practical applications. It was a day filled with discussions, reflections, and hands-on tasks.
Over 150 participants took part in the conference organized by UNICEF and the service design agency Lanka.CX. Representatives from the medical, social, and other sectors discussed the benefits and opportunities of implementing human-centered design in public services.
The event took place at the Park Hall Event Space – a unique transformable venue spanning 700 square meters. The versatility of the space allowed the organizers to split the event into two parts:

During the event, participants had the opportunity to learn about successful projects implementing human-centered design from experts, network with leading professionals in the field, and, during a practical workshop, go through every stage – from building empathy to testing prototypes.
