On August 5, a landmark event for the Ukrainian film industry took place at the Parkovy Congress and Exhibition Center—an exclusive meeting with media and government representatives. Guests gathered to present initiatives and examples of contemporary national films and series currently in production with the support of the State Film Agency of Ukraine (Derzhkino).
The event was held in the Rest Hall Event Space amphitheater—a venue ideal for cultural events and premieres of future blockbusters.
The “Cinema Unites” event brought together journalists, opinion leaders, and government officials in the capital. This intimate yet strategically important gathering became the first public platform for remarks by the newly appointed head of Derzhkino, Andrii Osipov.
“Ukrainian cinema is about substance, the economy, and the future. We have a powerful tool in our hands—stories that can shape society, influence consciousness, and speak to the entire world in the language of national ideas. Our goal is to create conditions under which talented teams receive not only support, but also confidence that their work has meaning and will be seen. Cinema must unite the country, and we are working on this today,” noted Andrii Osipov.
Sharing the stage were industry leaders, officials, and creative project teams. Speakers included:
The event was organized by the founder and CEO of the production company UPHub, Olha Panteleimonova, who emphasized:
“We wanted to create an emotional, intellectual, and strategic message to audiences, to the industry, and to the state. Ukrainian cinema today is a space where identity is shaped, new meanings are born, and stories appear that deserve viewers’ attention.”
The Parkovy Team thanks the organizers for choosing our venue and for a socially significant event!
