On November 25, Parkovy hosted Impact.Zhytomyr 2.0 Forum — the final event of an educational program aimed at attracting international investment for Ukraine's reconstruction.
The forum brought together over 60 program participants, local government leaders from more than 17 communities of Zhytomyr region, and international partners. Among the distinguished guests were Mariіn Ratnik, Deputy Secretary General of the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Vitaliy Bunechko, Head of Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration, Klen Jäärats, Executive Director of ESTDEV, as well as representatives of the Embassies of Estonia and Sweden in Ukraine, Enabel, German Marshall Fund, EIB JASPERS, and SIDA.
The main part of the forum featured project concept presentations by finalist teams: from the revitalization of the «Zhovten» cinema in Zhytomyr and the creation of STEM laboratories in Brusyliv — to the modernization of wastewater treatment facilities and mobile medical teams for remote communities.
The forum took place in
Park Hall — a modern venue on the third floor of the complex. The space with a panoramic terrace allowed for several formats to run simultaneously: finalists and international speakers presented on the stationary stage, a series of speed-dating style pitches took place on the terrace, and a separate zone was set up for networking and informal conversations.
The winner of the forum was the project «Mobile Medicine for Remote Communities of Zhytomyr Region» — an initiative offering accessible diagnostics and mammography for women in five communities of the region: Olevsk, Slovechne, Ovruch, Gradkovets, and Narodichi. It's about medical justice and equal access to healthcare for remote areas.
Impact.Zhytomyr 2.0 is a program implemented by the consulting company
Civitta with support from the Government of Estonia, the Estonian Centre for International Development (
ESTDEV), Zhytomyr Regional State Administration, and the Regional Development Agency of Zhytomyr Region. Its goal is to provide community leaders with practical knowledge and tools for effective project implementation and attracting international funding.
