We tell about the activities of the "United World Cultures Foundation", which takes care of children with disabilities, orphans, those deprived of parental care, children affected by war, and gifted children.
The United World Cultures Foundation (UWCF) has been implementing programs and charitable projects since 2015. During this time, the foundation's team has helped thousands of Ukrainian children in need of support and protection. Today, the UWCF is based at the Parkovy Congress and Exhibition Center and actively continues its charitable activities.
The UWCF implements numerous projects with the support of leading Ukrainian companies. Thanks to charitable financial assistance in the amount of 399 thousand UAH from UKRSIBBANK BNP Paribas Group in three departments of the Institute of Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine (Department of Resuscitation and Intensive Care of Newborns and Premature Babies; Operating Department of Maternity Hospitals; Infectious-box Department for Young Children, including beds for post-neonatal care and extended rehabilitation of newborns, and shelters for them) in 2023, UWCF and the French company Prothealth installed 7 ProAir air purifiers and provided 15 replacement filters for them.
At the end of 2023, in partnership with the WOG gas station network, a children's drawing contest "Enchanted Divokava 2023" was held among children aged 6 to 14 on the theme: "My Happy Christmas".
As a result of the voting, three winners were determined, whose drawings adorned festive mugs appearing in the WOG CAFE network. Finalists and winners of the contest, selected by viewers on the project's website, received gifts, including cash certificates for the purchase of creative materials.
The theme of children's creativity is one of the leading ones for the foundation's projects. For this purpose, since 2020, the foundation has been annually conducting the All-Ukrainian drawing and photography contest "What is Ukraine for Me?", among the participants of which are children who study and love to draw, child volunteers, children deprived of parental care, children with disabilities, and minors serving sentences in correctional institutions.
In 2023, children aged 4 to 18 from all regions of Ukraine, as well as representatives of the Ukrainian diaspora from 35 foreign countries, took part in the contest. The total number of contest entries was 5,939, including 4,006 drawings and 1,933 photographs. 47 winners were selected in two contest categories and four age groups.
The contest was supported by the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, 29 embassies of Ukraine, as well as the Kyiv City Council (Kyiv City State Administration), regional and local government authorities, and the Verkhovna Rada.
The jury of the contest included well-known Ukrainian artists, illustrators, photographers, servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, public and state figures, representatives of the media, and authors of children's books. The head of the jury was the President of Ukraine (2005-2010) Viktor YUSHCHENKO.
At the end of December, some amount of the contest winners' artworks participated in a charitable art exhibition during the business events of the Association of Retailers of Ukraine. QR codes with links to the foundation's official bank accounts were placed for donations, and two paintings were sold at a charity auction. In total, 76,600 hryvnias were raised to help children from Avdiivka. With these funds, equipment and study essentials were purchased for eleven children from the city. The foundation continues to support these and other children from Avdiivka, Donetsk Oblast, who are most in need of assistance.
The Parkovy Group's Data Center "PARKOVY" participated in organizing the III All-Ukrainian Drawing and Photography Contest "What is Ukraine for Me?". The Data Center's team not only contributed to organizing the contest and covering administrative expenses but also participated in evaluating the entries as part of the jury.
The team at the Parkovy Congress and Exhibition Center decided to support the internally displaced children and youth from Donetsk Oblast, as well as young volunteers of the Foundation. On December 30, 2023, at the invitation of the Congress and Exhibition Center, the children visited the event "Velika Rizdviana Kolyada" by the team of the legendary ethno-festival "Kraina Mriy" and its inspirer, Oleg Skrypka.
"Velika Rizdviana Kolyada" greeted children and their parents/guardians with a fair and various masterclasses, a traditional interactive Nativity scene, Malanka, caroling, and a Christmas charity ball in the style of the 18th century, where guests could participate. Guests also enjoyed musical performances by the NAONI Orchestra, Oleg Skrypka, and the VV band, making the holiday truly special and unique.
The team at the Parkovy Congress and Exhibition Center is pleased to support the initiatives of the "United World Cultures Foundation" and invites representatives of responsible businesses and private philanthropists to join numerous UWCF projects in the fields of culture, education, healthcare, and spiritual and physical development.
