On July 4, 2024, the IT Ukraine Association celebrated its 20th anniversary and held a General Meeting at the Parkovy Congress and Exhibition Center. The event brought together member companies of the Association, the Council of Representatives, the current and already historical leadership of the Association, partners, founders, representatives of large IT companies and technical development of Ukraine.
The event took place in the
Park Hall Event Space - a spacious location on the third floor. For the convenience of guests, glass partitions were placed, and they united the hall with a closed terrace.
The event was attended by representatives of the IT sector and the state community, as well as heads of digital companies, who congratulated ITU on an outstanding date and shared powerful insights. Among the speakers who delivered the welcome speech:
- Maria Shevchuk - Executive Director of IT Ukraine Association;
- Oleksandr Yarema - State Secretary of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine;
- Mykhailo Fedorov - Віцепремʼєр - Minister for Innovation, Development of Education, Science and Technology - Minister of Digital Transformation;
- Andrey Kashperuk - Deputy Chairman of the Management Board for Retail Business of UKRSIBBANK BNP Paribas Group;
- Taras Kytsmey - Co-founder and member of the Board of Directors of SoftServe, etc.
Olexandr Bornyakov (Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation for IT Development), Dmitry Grin (CEO of Jooble Job Aggregator), Svyatoslav Kavetsky (Director for Industry Issues N-i X) and Kateryna Chernogorenko (Deputy Minister of Defense for Digitalization, Digital Transformation and Digital Development). Kateryna Chernogorenko spoke about digitalization to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, noting that already two million Ukrainians have updated their data to Reserve +, "a transparent and reliable tool of the future in the digital CCC."
The Executive Director of IT Ukraine Association Association presented a semi-annual report that demonstrated active work in the direction of state activity, etc.: participants helped to develop sanctions against the Russian Federation in terms of access to the latest technologies, analyzed more than 750 bills and 1200 decisions of the CMU, and launched the E-Support portal for their comprehensive legal support. At the general meeting, 32 new participants were traditionally awarded.
"Over these decades, the IT sector has made significant steps forward and has become an integral part of business, social and public life. This indicates that the values laid down were correct, and you are on the right path to success," – said Olexandr Yarema.
