On December 3, 2024, in Kyiv’s Parkovy Congress and Exhibition Center, the 14th Annual “Pharmacy Summit of Ukraine” was held, gathering around 300 pharmacy professionals. This year’s speakers included Members of Parliament, committee members of the Verkhovna Rada, senior officials from various ministries, representatives of the National Security and Defense Council, leadership from the State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control and the National Health Service of Ukraine, pharmaceutical manufacturers and distributors, leaders of professional associations, educators, and researchers.
The event took place on the third floor of the complex, in the
Convention and Concert Hall (CCH).
Throughout the day, several panel discussions critical to Ukraine’s pharmaceutical sector were held, including: “State, Business, and Consumer – How to Achieve Balance”, “Pharmacy Market: Where Are We Heading in Numbers,” dedicated to analytics of the pharmaceutical market, “Current Challenges,” reviewing changes to the regulatory framework for good pharmacy practice, scheduled inspections of pharmacy establishments, reserving employees for military service, and more.

Given the extensive educational expertise of the National University of Pharmacy, new projects from its Institute for Continuing Education of Pharmacy Specialists were also presented.
During the main program in the CCH—whose 750 m² floor area provides comfortable space for an event of this scale—guests also visited partner exhibition stands on the third floor and exchanged professional insights. A catering area was set up in a space that can easily be reconfigured into a
Conference room as needed; here, attendees could grab a bite and rest. Thanks to the modern and unique configurations of the complex, participants made the most efficient use of their time.
The summit’s program reaffirmed its role as a traditional forum for discussing steps to strengthen Ukraine’s national pharmacy sector as a whole, and pharmaceutical education in particular.
