On December 5–6, the 1st USCRS Congress took place at Parkovy — the first specialized congress for ophthalmologists in Ukraine. This two-day event became a milestone for the national ophthalmology community, bringing together the country’s leading ophthalmic surgeons, young professionals, and world-class speakers from different countries.
The program was exceptionally intensive and practice-oriented, featuring hands-on workshops, instructional courses, and lectures by top ophthalmic surgeons. A highlight of the congress was live surgery, showcasing expertise, cutting-edge technologies, and the limitless possibilities of modern ophthalmology.
Beyond the professional agenda, participants had ample time for in-person communication, networking, and knowledge exchange. Experienced specialists and young doctors met on one platform — those who will shape the future of Ukrainian ophthalmology.
The congress was hosted in the
Big Exhibition Hall, divided in half by mobile sound-insulated partitions. This allowed the creation of two distinct zones: an expo area with large-scale stands of professional medical equipment and a networking space, as well as a lecture hall for talks and presentations. Additional lectures ran in the
complex’s conference rooms, enabling multiple program tracks to take place simultaneously. With its scale and purpose, the
Big Exhibition Hall proved to be an ideal venue for an event of this format.
The 1st USCRS Congress marks only the beginning of a major journey for the ophthalmology community.
