On 27 March, 40 teams of youngsters gathered for the “UNICEF Youth for Recovery” event in Kyiv, where they were presented with awards for working to solve issues in their local communities as part of the UPSHIFT programme. The event took place at the Parkovy Convention and Exhibition Center.
The main topics of discussion were mental health and the provision of psychological assistance, education and skills development, infrastructure, and youth-friendly environments. In 2023, UNICEF will expand its support for these areas.
The First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Orlando Bloom attended this important event.
