Kiev Mayor Vitaly Klitschko, opening the Forum, noted that more than 60% of foreign investments in Ukraine come to the capital. In Kiev, most professionals work in industry, information technology, commerce, real estate, finance, and the like. Kiev is one of the leaders of the IT industry among the cities of Eastern Europe.
In the Development Strategy of the capital until 2025, the development of innovative sectors of the economy with high added value is defined as one of the most important priorities. “We are talking about the deregulation of business activities, transparent and equal conditions for doing business, the protection of investments and economic incentives to attract employers. Cooperation between business and science is also important - it works successfully in the developed countries of the world. I can, without exaggeration, state that Kiev in its work can already compete with many European cities. And the Forum that we are holding today is a platform for Kiev innovations. Representatives of business, investors, and inventors gathered here to present their ideas, discuss the embodiment of the innovative potential of the city, and attract investment in the capital. We can turn Kiev into one of the most technological cities in Europe. And we do everything for this! " - sayed Vitaliy Klitschko.
